Total
sales up five percent for the year; Subaru Impreza marks best-ever July
CHERRY HILL, N.J.,
August 2, 2005 -- Subaru of America, Inc. today reported July sales totaling
17,959 units, showing an increase of two percent for the month, over the same
period last year. Total sales are up five percent year-to-date and the Subaru
Impreza line marks a best ever July.
“Sales
of the all-new Subaru B9 Tribeca continue to climb,” said Bill Cyphers, vice
president of sales, Subaru of America, Inc. “We are pleased with our positive
sales momentum and expect this trend to continue.”
The all-new Subaru B9 Tribeca posted
a strong 1,833 units for the month of July. The Subaru Legacy model line
recorded a total 7,480 units, while Subaru Outback posted 5,164 units for
the month. The Subaru Impreza line recorded a best-ever July, up 15 percent
over the same period last year with 3,310 unit sales. Subaru Forester posted
4,688 units in July, while Subaru Baja recorded a five percent increase with 648
units for the month.
